TIRANA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is happening on November 23rd until December 2nd 2012 in Tirana, Albania. Created in 2003, this amazing cultural event is the first international cinematographic festival in Albania.
Now in its tenth anniversary TIFF is getting bigger and better by welcoming and encouraging film professionals and audiences to THINK DIFFERENT - SEE ALIKE!!
Here's an excerpt about the event and what to expect on this 10th edition:
" It is the aim of the TIRANA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL to create a meeting point for film artists and cinema enthusiasts from Albania, the Balkans and the entire world to come together and share their linked passion and knowledge of the motion picture art form. This tenth edition of TIFF brings several important changes to its previous years. For the fourth time, TIFF announces a feature film competition along with its prestigious shorts program. TIFF also extends its program to ten days, November 23 to December 2 in order to encompass not only the competing shorts and features but to allow for retrospectives, seminars, classes, press events and special presentations at theatres all over the Albanian capital. It is the intention of TIFF to bring filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts from all around the world to Tirana, Albania in the hopes of fostering future co-operation in this extraordinarily scenic area.By bringing together these distinct voices and their work, the TIRANA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL commits itself to introducing audiences to alternative visions of extraordinary diversity."

Since Albania is celebrating its 100 years of Independence this month, there's no better way to enjoy the festivities by honoring history and welcoming the future through film.
As an Albanian and a fanatic film enthusiast:
I write this post because I want to recognize the hard working group that has made TIFF happen these past ten years bigger and better.
I wish all the participating filmmakers Good Luck!
And, I'd like to encourage audiences to show up in theatres and make this edition the most popular one to date.
