Galeria Kombëtare e Arteve hap ekspozitën e artistit Genti Korini. I lindur në 1979, kjo është ekspozita e parë personale e artistit në galeri dhe përmbledh një cikël të fundit pikturash abstrakte.

Në se shohim punët e fundit të Korinit, takohemi apo ritakohemi me pikturën abstrakte. Një pikturë komplekse që kemi nevojë ta zbërthejmë për ta kuptuar më mirë. Shpesh shfaqet aty një lloj strukture a gjeometrie që merr formë dhe bashkëjeton me lëndën përbërëse abstrakte.

Linja apo blloqe të pikturuara me vendosmëri e shpesh me ngjyra të forta e evidentuese krijojnë hapësira e plane që diç të kujtojnë. Duket sikur autori është nisur me një mendim të caktuar për të ndërtuar diçka, një strukturë, një motiv apo një objekt por rrugës ka ndryshuar mendje dhe e ka lënë atë përgjysëm.

Në të tjera tablo kemi vizatime e struktura më të sakta që krijojnë edhe objekte me forma gjeometrike, po që mbeten pa funksion të përcaktuar e madje më shumë shkatërrojnë se sa ndërtojnë një konkluzion mbi tablonë dhe imazhin që ajo prezanton.

Ekspozita shoqërohet nga një katalog me ilustrimet e plota të pikturave, i cili përfshin një ese nga Alban Hajdinaj kurator dhe studiues në GKA.

National Gallery of Arts presents an exhibition of works by the artist Genti Korini. Born in 1979, this is the artist’s first solo show in the gallery and brings together a interesting selection of his abstract paintings. 

Looking through Korini’s latest works, we encounter or re-encounter abstract painting - a complex painting that we need to disassemble in order to distinguish its main features and understand it better. There often appears a geometric type of structure that takes form and coexists with the abstract subject matter.  

Lines or blocks painted convincingly and often with strong visible colors create spaces and angles and seem to remind us of something. It appears as if these shapes, sometimes precise and other times fluid, fracture the composition. They attempt to take us somewhere, towards a volume, or a certain perspective, but they never quite get there. It seems as if the author had started with a clear idea of building something, perhaps a structure, a motive or an object, but changed his mind along the process and left it unfinished. 

In other works, we find drawings and structures that are more precise and form geometrically shaped figures, with no clear function ascribed to them. In fact, they destroy rather than build a conclusion about the composition and the images that it represents. 

The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue, which includes an essay by curator and writer at the NGA, Alban Hajdinaj.
