CONCRETE MUSHROOMS PROJECT

Reusing Albania's 750,000 Abandoned Bunkers.

The Concrete Mushrooms project started in October 2008 as a research by Elian Stefa and Gyler Mydyti, two Albanian graduate students at the Politecnico di Milano. It was the first formal effort to research and explain the bunkers at a national and international stage, aiming to raise awareness and revitalize these structures with a repurposing project for tourism.
